Is a home you let in order? A free check against the Renters' Rights Act

Answer with the dates on your papers. The check goes through the nine duties a landlord in England has under the Renters' Rights Act 2025 and the safety rules, shows which are in order, and gives the date each one sets. The result is free. For £29, DraftRight drafts the letters that fix what is open on that home.

England only, and not legal advice. The check follows the law for homes let in England, from the dates you give. DraftRight is not a law firm.

Which home is it?

Its postcode and the first line of its address. Nothing is kept unless you save the home.

Add what you have.

What the check covers

What £29 buys

For one home, once: the letters its result shows, drafted with that home's facts, clean, and yours to edit. Only the ones the home needs, from these four:

What needs an engineer, a deposit scheme or a check of your own stays on the home as a to-do with what to do. If nothing on a home can be drafted, there is nothing to pay. Pro, Elite and Advisor plans include the drafting.

Questions

Is the check free?

Yes. The result is free to see, and you can save the home to a free account.

What happens to my answers?

The check runs on DraftRight's server and your answers are not stored. If you save the home, they wait in this tab until your account is made, and are then kept with the home in your account. See the privacy notice.

Is this legal advice?

No. The check shows what each rule asks and the date it sets, from the dates you give. For advice on your own situation, speak to a solicitor.

Does it cover Wales or Scotland?

No. It follows the law for homes let in England.
