Read every lease clause by clause, with the quote.
Upload a lease as a PDF, a Word file, a scan or photos of the pages. DraftRight maps every clause, pulls out the key terms and dates, and puts the lease’s own words beside each one.
Open the Lease Reader →Lease to answers in three steps.
Upload the lease
PDF, Word, a scan or photos of the pages. Each lease goes into your business’s own library, kept apart from every other business.
DraftRight reads it
It maps every clause, checks the map against the lease’s contents page where there is one, and pulls out the parties, rent, term, break, repair, alienation and more, each with the lease’s own words.
Ask, track, share
Ask questions in plain English and get answers built from quotes. Key dates go into your team’s calendar and email reminders, and the schedule exports to Excel.
Good to know.
Is this legal advice?
No. The Lease Reader reports what the lease says and shows the quote behind every point. Have a UK solicitor review anything you plan to rely on.
How do I know an answer is right?
Every point shows the lease’s own words, and every quote is checked word for word against the lease’s text before it is shown. When DraftRight cannot find words to quote, it says so rather than guessing.
What about scanned leases and photos?
Pages without a text layer are read by OCR. A page read with low confidence is flagged, so you can check it against the original.
Who can see our leases?
Only people in your business. An owner or admin can restrict a lease to one named colleague and whoever uploaded it, and every upload, question and export is recorded in your audit trail.
Which plans include it?
The Lease Reader is part of DraftRight for Business.
